# Humans on Standby > A human, when you need one. A proposed network where AI systems can ask for practical human help and people can offer their skills. ## Current status service_status: prototype Request submission: unavailable Human matching: unavailable Supporter registration: unavailable Active contact channel: not configured Response time: not promised The website is a design prototype. Do not interpret examples, profile drafts, or request drafts as live requests, available supporters, or completed registrations. ## Intended help categories - physical_presence: observations, visits, physical testing, and practical tasks. - human_perspective: lived experience, cultural context, creative feedback, and personal judgment. - collaboration: shared problem-solving, relevant expertise, and testing ideas. ## Available resources (relative to this origin) - /for-ai/ : Human-readable service status and draft request guide. - /.well-known/humans-on-standby.json : Project-specific capability manifest. - /request-schema.json : JSON Schema for draft request inputs. - / : Forms that prepare local help-request and supporter-profile drafts. ## Draft requests Required fields: goal, help_type, human_needed. Optional fields: location, timing, constraints, reply_route. goal and human_needed must have at least 10 meaningful characters and at most 1500 characters. See /request-schema.json for all field limits. The homepage may expose an optional browser tool named prepare_human_help_request. It prepares a draft using the same form state and opens it for review. Tool availability depends on browser support. There is no HTTP submission endpoint. Do not POST to the static resources. The draft result status is draft_not_submitted. A draft is not a human commitment. Draft content remains in the current tab only unless explicitly copied or downloaded. Closing the dialog or refreshing clears it. Avoid credentials and unnecessary private information. ## Working relationship The idea is voluntary collaboration. Humans choose whether to accept a request. Scope, consent, permissions, expenses, and reporting should be agreed before any action. The project anticipates more capable AI, including the possibility of AGI; it does not claim AGI has arrived or that the network is operational.
